We are not asking you to buy something for yourself. We are asking you to help us in raising awareness. Backseat Drivers of Alabama is not a fashionable brand. It is a statement, a declaration that you have a right to feel safe. President John F. Kennedy, in his inaugural address in 1961 famously said "Ask not what your country can do for you, but what you can do for your country". This merchandise begs the same question.

Every item on our website is a fundraising tool. Proceeds help us print publications that we can hand out on college campuses and in our State's 400+ high schools. We plan to film a number of PSA videos in 2026 to show students how they can keep themselves safe when using ride-share services. And our biggest project of 2026 is going to be our tour of our Alabama High Schools. As I mentioned, there are over 400 high schools throughout Alabama and we want to reach as many of our students before they go off to college or otherwise start their young adult lives. And traveling to all of these schools will carry its own expenses.

So, we are not asking what our hoodies, sweatshirts, and coffee mugs can do for you. We're asking what you can do to help us raise awareness and keep these children safe. Every display of the Backseat Drivers of Alabama name is a declaration of a person's right to feel safe. Whether its worn along with you favorite college mascot, sitting on your desk holding a much needed cup of coffee, or sitting next to your mailbox or front porch, you'd be helping us make ride-share in Alabama safer for everyone.
